Easy and convenient parking! The Convention Center Parking Lot offers surface parking at no charge on a first-come-first-serve basis. Navigating the Venue
The 2024 SC Scholastic Chess Championship will be located on the lower level of the Columbia Convention Center in the Lexington and Richland meeting rooms.
The lower level also features hallway seating for lounging between rounds. Chairs will also be arranged under the escalator area for the awards ceremony.
The playing halls are located directly across from the outdoor courtyard, for plenty of fresh air and stretching the legs. The courtyard also makes for a good lunch area for those who bring their own food, due to the Convention Center's no outside food or drink policy.
Play will occur in the Lexington and Richland meeting rooms, with wall separations between High School, Middle School, and Elementary School sections for better playing conditions. The Richland Meeting Room is pictured here.
On-Site Food
The Convention Center will be providing lunch for sale at a concessions stand setup for the Scholastic Championship from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Convention Center's standard concessions menu is shown. Please note that the Convention Center has a no outside food or drink policy.
